Using the mirrors
Public mirrors are unauthenticated and free to use. Point your package manager at the node closest to you; all nodes carry the same content set and are interchangeable.

Synchronisation policy
- Upstream repositories are polled every 5 minutes; large archives are pulled incrementally over rsync where the upstream offers it.
- Security archives are prioritised and polled every 60 seconds.
- Pull-through caches (registries) fetch on first request and retain objects for 30 days of inactivity, or indefinitely until the upstream deletes them.
- Objects are verified against upstream checksums before they are promoted to the serving layer.
- Cache invalidation for customer-owned namespaces is instant and exposed through the API.
